Koeppen, Ardis Rose

Ardis Rose Koeppen of Cedar Rapids passed peacefully to her eternal reward on Jan. 23, 2013. To honor her wishes a private family inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum Columbarium.

Ardis was born June 9, 1927, in Atkins, Iowa, where she was raised on the values of God, family, and hard work. Early in life she worked in the office of the Wilson Sinclair Packing Co. She later worked and retired from Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Ardis's passion in life was her love of cooking and baking for family and friends. You could taste her love in every bite.

Ardis is survived by her brother, Gerald Miller of Marion; a son, Mark Koeppen; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Sandon Pawlowski and Michael and Kurt Koeppen.

Ardis was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Tillie Ness Miller; her brother, Robert, and sister, Carol Finley. She was also preceded by her children, Karen Pawlowski and Steve Koeppen.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Linn Manor Care Center for their loving care and compassion.

A memorial fund had been established.
