Knock, Ella
Ella Knock, 76, of Hopkinton, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at her home following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with interment in Hopkinton Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Finger will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 until 7 today at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton.

Surviving are four children, Vicky (Dean) Chapman, Russell (Pam), Douglas and Kelly (Pam) Knock, all of Hopkinton; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron, in 1999; two sons, Bruce and Gary; and three brothers, Elmer, Alfred and William.
Ella Adams was born April 16, 1933, at Hopkinton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Calvin Glen and Violet Tharp Adams. She graduated from the Hopkinton Community Schools in 1951. Ella Adams and Byron Knock were married June 11, 1952, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. The couple lived in Maquoketa and Lost Nation for several years. Ella had been employed at Lux Pulletts and Buchheit Poultry. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing, country music, and casino trips.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
