Knapp Sr., Michael D.
Michael D. Knapp Sr., 53, of 510 Seventh Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 27, 2011, in his home. Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his brother, Allen (Janelle) Knapp of Carroll, Iowa; sisters, Debra (Kevin Sr.) Knapp Kearney of Cedar Rapids and Cindy (Jeffrey) Knapp Orcutt of Cedar Rapids; nieces, nephews and close friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, April Godbey.
Born May 11, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Michael was the son of George and Marjorie (Sweet) Knapp. He graduated from Jefferson High School.
Michael's joys were fishing, camping and hunting.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Michael's memory.
