Klingler, Lois J.
Lois J. Klingler, 79, a resident of Delhi, died Jan. 7, 2011, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Vicki Standley, director of Pastoral Care at First United Methodist Church, Marion, will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are her husband of over 53 years, Donald; her children, Donald A. Klingler and wife Penny of Le Claire and Kathy Harris and husband Rod of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Donnie and Peggy Klingler, both of Le Claire; her sisters, Nancy Jerabek and husband Paul of Marion and Barbara Rammelsburg of Atkins; and sister-in-law, Laureen Bowles of New Braunfels, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Miller.
Lois June Klingler was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Henry Nelson and Melvina Louisa (Hewitt) Miller. She was united in marriage to Donald Harold Klingler on Aug. 26, 1956, in Marion at First United Methodist Church. She was previously employed in the mail room at Collins Radio and before retirement, at the Cedar Rapids school board in printing. She enjoyed reading, trips with Don to the casino, and above all time spent with her family.
She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Lois' honor.
