Kleeberger, Marian G.
Marian G. Kleeberger, 84, went to Heaven on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, having run her race here on earth.
Marian was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Jackson, Minn., the daughter of Darwin and Virginia (Markee) Pew. Marian was united in marriage to Ralph H. Kleeberger on April 9, 1948, and this couple enjoyed 62 years of marriage together before Ralph's passing in 2010. She was a dedicated homemaker, farmed with her husband all their lives and did waitressing and babysitting to help support the family. Marian loved God and was a member of Squaw Creek Baptist Church in Marion.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (Doug) Nelson of Coal Valley, Ill., Michael (Janet) Kleeberger of Cedar Rapids and John (Jackie) Kleeberger of Frontenac, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Boyd (Gloria) Pew, Dale (Sandy) Pew and Ron (Pari) Pew; and a brother-in-law, Phillip Roland.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters.
Marian was a devoted wife, an incredibly loving mother and grandmother, and a faithful sister. She was the glue of all the family units her life touched, a wonderful friend to all and a tremendous example of hard work, integrity, love and family priority.
Marian taught her family how to love. She was an avid quilter and game player. Through her gift of quilts each family member felt wrapped in her love. She brought true joy to our lives and will be greatly missed until we are reunited with her in heaven.
Visitation will be at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6. Services will be at Squaw Creek Baptist Church in Marion at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, conducted by the Rev. Michael Kleeberger. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
