Klahn, Arline E.
Arline E. Klahn, 89, of 2400 Ninth Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, in Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Brian Reeves. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; sons, Marvin (Mary) Klahn Jr. of Solon, and William “Bill” Klahn of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, William, Matthew, Sam and Elizabeth “Lizzy;” one great-granddaughter, Hanna; and her brother, Lawrence “Larry” (Fae) Edwards of Cedar Rapids.
Arline was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Donald, David, Earl, Richard and Paul; and her sister, Mavis Spangler.
Born August 17, 1921, in Zwingle, Iowa, Arline was the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Clark) Edwards. On Oct. 11, 1946, she was united in marriage to Marvin Klahn in Cedar Rapids.
