Kithcart, Keith Erle
TOLEDO - Keith Erle Kithcart, 58, of Toledo, passed away Oct. 14, 2010, at Carrington Place of Toledo under the care of Iowa River Hospice, with his family at his side. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Rector Cemetery, rural Chelsea. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Keith was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Erle and Dorothy (Kempfert) Kithcart. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in the class of 1970. He married Luann Rohach in 1973 and they later divorced. Keith was formerly a co-owner of Froning's Co-op in Chelsea, Belle Plaine and Ferguson, and then worked for U.S. Commodities in Des Moines.
He was active in the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Keith was a volunteer on the Chelsea Fire Department.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron Kithcart of Columbus, Ohio and Adam (Tina) Kithcart of Bondurant; one grandson, Keaten Collinson; one sister, Diane (Mike) Wentland of Victor; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society are appreciated.
