King, Lillian Bertha
Lillian Bertha King, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. David Miller will officiate with burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends my call one hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Norman King of Cedar Rapids; children, Alan Loomis of Hills, Larry (Jodie) King of Cedar Rapids, and Bonnie (Jeff) Barcus of Massachusetts; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Carl (Pauline) Petsel; and four sisters Viola Ellis, Doloris (Charles) Thomas, Nancy (Carl) Morning and Mary (Errol) Starling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenard and Erna Petsel.
Lillian was born May 1, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Lenard and Erna (Dittburner) Petsel. Lillian married Norman Keith King on April 25, 1971, in the Oak Grove Christian Church. She graduated form Roosevelt Senior High School. She was employed by Rockwell Collins in Coralville, and retired after 25 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
