KIMBERLY SUE (HOUSER) BROCKSCHINK
Norway
Kimberly Sue (Houser) Brockschink, 47, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at St. Anthony's
Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a
battle with cancer.
She was born May 21, 1970, in Norway,
Iowa, to Ken and Kathy Houser. Kim was a 1988 graduate of Norway High School. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in
design and human environment.
Kim is survived by her husband, Evan Whittle; three children, Ashley
Brockschink, Jave Brockshink and stepson, Tyler
Whittle; parents, Ken and Kathy; three brothers and one sister, Kevin and wife Tiffany, Kris and wife Lisa,
Karrie and husband Brian, and Kory and Jenn; along
with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles
and friends, whom she loved very much.
She worked as a project manager for Boyd
Construction in St. Petersburg. Kim was very passionate about spending time with friends and family, traveling
to the islands, boating, scuba diving and jewelry making.
She had a unique gift of bringing joy into the life of anyone she encountered and making everyone feel
comfortable no matter the situation. There were no strangers in life, only friends she had not met yet. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who
knew her. She always took the time to see the beauty in everything, especially sunsets, and would hope that
everyone makes sure they appreciate and enjoy the beauty that always surrounds them.
A celebration of life will be held in Florida and Iowa. Family, friends and others whose lives Kim touched are invited to a celebration of life on Oct. 28 from 4 to 7
p.m. at St. Michael's Parish Center, 512 Evergreen St., Norway.
In lieu of flowers, a donation page has been set up at www.crowdrise.com/inspired-by-kimber
/fundraiser/evanwhittle. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross to aid the victims of the recent hurricanes.
