Kevin "Whitey" Lange, 64, of Lowden, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at Wheatland Manor Care Center. Visitation will be held 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 Washington Ave., in Lowden, Iowa. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Keith and Emma (Oltmanns) Lange. Kevin grew up and lived in Lowden. He spent 43 years as a self- employed floor coverings installer where he was a master of the craft. Kevin enjoyed playing sheephead and euchre, spending time visiting with family and friends, tinkering with projects, and "talking politics." He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden, Lowden Jaycees and Lowden Fire Department.

Survivors include five sons, Austin, Derrick (Whitney), Nick (Erin Shields), Kelvin (Allison Henning) and Koby, all of Lowden; two brothers, Rodney and Marlon of Lowden; sister, Monica Paarmann of Wheatland; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Cameron, Zander, Tadan, Tailynn, Braxton, Aliyah, Rylee, Emma and Avery; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Myah and Dayton.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Margaret Lange; maternal grandparents, Albert and Anna (Hendrichs) Oltmanns; parents, Keith and Emma Lange; sister, Darci Lange; and grandson, Treyton.
