Kevin Patrick Fountain was born September 18, 1961, in Iowa City, IA. He is the son of Patrick E. and Virginia L. (Bain) Fountain. Kevin graduated from City High School in 1980. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for 10 years on the USS Nimitz. Upon discharge, Kevin started his career at Mediacom and was employed there until the day of his passing (33 years).
Kevin’s first priority was always his family – especially his son, Jared. Being Jared’s dad was his favorite thing. He had a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, and, of course, the Iowa Hawkeyes.
