Ketchum, Mary Grace
Mary Grace Ketchum, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where a Scripture service will begin at 6 p.m. Inurnment: Thursday, May 17, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Rich Mason) Kepros of Marion and Rick (Claudia) Ketchum of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, John Gallo, Anthony Gallo and Rose Kladivo, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Anna (Dick) Reilly; brother, Michael (Ruby) Gallo; and brother-in-law, Paul Kladivo.
Mary was born Oct. 12, 1929, the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Scolaro) Gallo, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was married to Oscar Ketchum for 25 years. Mary raised her children and worked in restaurants and at the Giant Store for 18 years.
She enjoyed bowling, winning numerous trophies, and also cooking as everyone agreed she was a good cook.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
