Kermit Robertson, 81, of Shellsburg, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, Shellsburg Presbyterian Church. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. A memorial fund has been established.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his two sons, Rick (Judy) Robertson and Craig (Sheri Mullinex) Robertson, all of Shellsburg; his five grandchildren, Cody Robertson, Brittany (Aaron) Seaton, Alex Springer, Sydney Robertson and Clark Robertson; one great-grandson, Camden Seaton; his brother, Keith Robertson of Dubuque; his sister, Marilyn (Floyd) Petersen of Kingston, N.Y.; his brother-in-law, Dwayne (Cheryl) Myres of Palo; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Thompson of Shellsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
