Kenzie Maria Nissen, 28, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at her home in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Kenzie was born Aug. 7, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jorg and Jody (Igou) Nissen. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 2008, and went on to attend Kirkwood Community College. She had a true love for animals and enjoyed taking care of them. Kenzie enjoyed music and movies. She especially loved her family.
Kenzie is survived by her mom, Jody Nissen of Cedar Rapids; brother, Travis Nissen of Cedar Rapids; grandparents, Leo (Donna) Nissen of Marion, Iowa, Larry (Sheilah) Igou of Swisher, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Leon Nissen (Chris Chrzan) of Anamosa, Jeff (Ruthi) Rogers of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sarah (Zach) Gorman of Swisher, Jace Igou of Cedar Rapids; her two cats, Sammy and Booger; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jorg, in 2016.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
