Kenneth Leroy Zahrt, 75,
of Cedar Rapids, uttered his last inappropriate comment on Friday, July 5, 2019. The world is a much quieter place today. A celebration of Ken's life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Parlor City, 1125 Third St. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401. If you knew Ken, we apologize for any offense he may have caused, or if you are in doubt you ever met him chances are you didn't because there is no way humanly possible you would NOT remember him you know he was a uniquely funny, generous and authentic soul. In the spirit of his fondness for storytelling, we encourage you to bring your favorite Ken-ism, story or experience to share with his family and friends. The sharing will commence at 4 p.m.
Ken is survived by wife, MaryAnn Zahrt; sons, Jeffrey Zahrt (Jennifer Zahrt) and Chad Zahrt (Eduardo Velazquez Zahrt); his little man, Patch; his brother, Denny Zahrt (Janet Zahrt); nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren.
