Kenneth Eugene Winslow, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at Northbrook Manor Nursing Home of pancreatic cancer. First visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Marion. Second visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, with Pastor Chris Fiske officiating. Please come in casual attire per Ken's request. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.
Kenneth was born July 13, 1947, in Fairfield, Iowa, to his parents, Eugene Charles and Evelyn Fern (Eckwall) Winslow. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Indian Hills Community College and became a technical engineer for Rockwell Collins, retiring after 35 years in 2002. He married Marcia L. Smith in Asbury, Iowa, on Aug. 5, 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Smith of Cedar Rapids; and his son, Steve (Kim) Winslow, and grandchildren, Brittany, Erica and Austin Winslow, all of Fairfield.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cindy.
Kenneth enjoyed fishing, woodworking and John Deere tractors. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a handyman – "could fix anything" or "build anything."
