Kenneth W. Kenner, 81, of Chelsea, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at the funeral home.

Kenneth was born Aug. 9, 1936, to Floyd and Lillian (Grieder) Kenner in Belle Plaine. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1955. On Aug. 5, 1961, Kenneth married Judith Kriva at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chelsea. Kenneth lived in Belle Plaine for 20 years. Then, together the couple moved just outside of town, where he farmed the Kriva family farm for 36 years. He also worked for 43 years for Ralston Foods in Cedar Rapids, where he enjoyed driving a truck.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith Kenner; sister, Sandra (Harlan) Cronbaugh of Cedar Rapids; sisters-in law, Patricia Boyd of Wisconsin, Beatrice (Edward) Gordon of California, Jo Ann (James) Van Weelden of Fairfax, Marrie Hanzelka of Utah and Ann Johnson of Fairfax; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in law, Joseph Kriva.
