Kenneth Keith Lurth, 92, of Atkins, died Saturday, November 23, 2024, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. There are no services planned at this time. Teahen Funeral Home is taking care of Kenneth’s family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Lurth; 5 children; Robin (Charles) Le Grand of Arizona, Kristine (Niles) Freundt of Atkins, Tracy (Hayden) Jameson of Cedar Rapids, Kevin (Molly) Lurth of Bertram, and Kendall (Carol) Lurth of Cedar Rapids; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was born on July 19, 1932, son of Everett and Gladys (Wilson) Lurth, in Hartley, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Mary Malacek in 1952 in Missouri. He worked at Comfort Zone sheet metal company for many years. He enjoyed building and fixing antique cars and was very handy. He would fix anything for anyone. He was a member of an antique car club and a motorcycle club. Most of all, he dearly loved spending time with his family.
Memorials may be directed to St. Luke’s Hospice.
