KENNETH JAMES "KENNY" JORDAN

Kenneth James "Kenny" Jordan, 83, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion by Pastor Gregory Williamson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Jordan's Grove Cemetery in Central City.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Wilhelmina; five children, Roy (Sandy) Jordan, Doug Jordan, Mark (Wanda) Jordan, Robbin (Jay) Moore and Debbie (Russ) Jellerson; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Lloyd (Shirley) Jordan, John (Sharon) Jordan, Garnet Warren and Judy (Jim) Kotrba; and a cousin, Pat Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol (Bud) Mentzer.
Kenny was born March 24, 1933, the son of James and Avalda (Willis) Jordan, on the farm in Mount Vernon. He graduated from Marion High School and was a lifelong farmer. Kenny married Wilhelmina Von Gerichten in 1992. He was formerly married to Donna Morris.
Kenny was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion. He made cookies every Saturday for Adult Bible Study.
Kenny was a Golden Glove boxer. He was a 4-H leader for over 20 years and volunteered at the Linn County fairgrounds. Kenny enjoyed farming, gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Kenny.
