Kenneth L. Comley, 73, of Central City, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life will be Monday, Aug. 8, at the Central City American Legion from 3 to 7 p.m.
Survivors include his children, Brian Comley of Cedar Rapids and Gina (Dennis) Betzer and Darrin (Laura) Comley, both of Central City; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Karen Carter of Central City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith.
Kenneth was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, son of Glenn and Hazel (McCreary) Comley. He graduated from Central City High School in 1960. Ken was a longtime welder for Cedarapids Inc., retiring in 2002. Ken married Karen Ward in 1961, and they later divorced.
He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ken also enjoyed drag racing, but his greatest love of all was his time spent with his family.
