Kenneth Dewayne Bascom, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015. Cremation rights have been accorded. A private graveside service will be at a later date. Iowa Cremation is assisting the
family.
Kenneth is survived by two sons, Dewayne (Christine) Veverka and Larry (Alicia) Bascom; grandchildren, Cody Bascom, Reno, Nico and Sierra Veverka, Avery Bascom and Kane Lambert; brothers, Fred, Eugene and Richard Bascom; as well as sisters, Sarah Dravis and Ruth Conger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bascom and Mildred Davis; son, Randy Bascom; and brother, Bob Bascom.
Kenneth was born July 11, 1936, in Vinton, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. Kenneth worked as a truck driver owner-operator for numerous companies throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
