Kenneth J. Baker, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at Manor Care after a short illness. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial at the Woodbridge Cemetery in rural Cedar County. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda (Ryne) Tope of Marion and Michelle (Dave Grifhorst) of Madison, Wis.; a son, Matthew (Kim Haymond) of Kansas City, Kan.; and his dog, Willie "Bean."
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca.
Kenneth was born on July 14, 1948, in Iowa City, the son of Harlan and Florence Gideon Baker. He married Rebecca A. Wehde on March 14, 1974, in Iowa City. Rebecca passed away in 2003.
Ken was a project engineer at Rockwell Collins for more than 42 years. He enjoyed computer games, his job and co-workers and especially the time spent with his beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established in Ken's name.
