Kenneth A. Arnell, 75, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Thursday, June 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. a funeral starting at 7 p.m., with Sam Ludvicek officiating. Interment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Lakview on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m.
Kenneth A. Arnell was born on July 6, 1946, to Sam and Jean (Rick) Arnell in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Sue Peyton on Jan. 26, 1968, for almost 40 years. He enjoyed the last 15 years with his loving girlfriend, Suzanne Gaumon. Kenneth retired from Cedar Rapids Inc. in 2005. Kenneth enjoyed playing/teaching guitar, especially at various nursing homes, singing songs, with family and friends, and frequent jam sessions. He also loved golfing, softball, mushroom hunting, bowling, horseshoes, trivia and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kenneth proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Mike) Baker of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Trinity, Tasia and Chris Baker; his siblings, Jane and Patty Jean Arnell; his loving girlfriend, Suzie Gaumon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; his parents; brothers, Phillip, Jim and Richard Arnell; and his sister, Judy Dort.
