Kennedy, Malinda V.
Malinda V. Kennedy, 43, of Cedar Rapids, went home with her fiance to be with the Lord, Friday, July 2, 2010. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, by the Rev. Mary Beets. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
Survivors include children, Jacobie Kennedy of Cedar Rapids, Jewelisa Hardimon of Peoria, Ill., Jam-Breas, Johnnie, Joseph and Joshua Hardimon, all of Atlanta, Ga.; siblings, Margaret Alexander, Anthony Alexander and Wilburn Harris, all of St. Paul, Minn., Myrt Kennedy and Tammy Odem of Cedar Rapids, Latisha Hoskin of Chicago, Lena Harris of Atlanta, Ga., Lisa Hoskin, Cooncie Mills and Tina Williams, all of Peoria, Ill.; mother, Barbara Jean Hoskin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and fiance, Anthony Stokes.
Malinda was born Oct. 10, 1966, in Peoria, Ill., to Wilburn and Barbara Jean Hoskin. She loved the Lord and was a member of Grace Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Peoria. Malinda was a strong woman who never gave up. She liked to dance, sing, and was a natural comedian.
She will be missed by family and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for their support.
