Kelly Ann Peterson, 55, of Marion, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center following complications from COVID-19 and pneumonia. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Jeremy Higgins. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 and after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Kelly is survived by her husband and soulmate, Allen; seven children, Amber, Patrick, Kaylee, Steven, Jude, Aydan and Jason; two brothers, Tim (Shari) Roe of Kennesaw, Ga., Shawn (Lori) Roe of Victorville, Calif., and John (Liane) Teahen Bisanz of Washington, Ill.; sister, Shannon Heck of Claremont, Calif.;
mother-in-law, Hale Van Valzah Pecor of Fredericksburg, Va.; brother-in-law, David (Laura) Brenon of Clarksville, Tenn.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Mary Roe; and father-in-law, Gerald Pecor.
Kelly was born on May 6, 1966, in Orange, Calif., the daughter of Patrick and Mary Teahen Roe. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1984 and received an A.A. degree from Victor Valley College in 2006. Kelly married Allen Peterson on Dec. 17, 2000, in Aplington. For the last 5 years, Kelly worked in patron services at the Marion Public Library.
Kelly enjoyed reading, attending garage sales and was very active in her church. She liked to take walks to look at the trees with the colors of fall. Kelly's love for her family was immeasurable and her children, where the lights of her life. Kelly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
