Keller, Glen B.
Glen B. Keller, 75, of Carrier Mills, Ill., passed away April 18, 2011, at his home. A service was held April 23 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, Ill., A Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by Father Reisner. Burial will be 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Glen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arlene (Scott) Keller; a daughter, Teresa (Scott) Stoneking of Mount Vernon; four sons, John Keller of Hiawatha, Larry Keller of North English, Tim Keller of Springville and Ted Keller of Vinton; seven brothers, Carroll and John of Arizona and Darrell, Gary, Eldon, Kevin and Richard, all of Iowa; four sisters, Etheldene (Garringer) Abbott of North English and Doris and Dorothy Keller and Karen Nieto, all of North Carolina; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marian and Mary Kay Keller; and three brothers, Francis, Kenneth and Bobby Keller.
Glen was born May 4, 1935, in North English, Iowa, to John and Gladys (Van Dee) Keller. He was a test technician at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and a Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Glen was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg, Ill., and the Woodworkers organization. His greatest achievement was making a model wooden train. He also made several pieces of furniture for the church and his home.
