Keith Sacora went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home with services being at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories wtih Pastor Steve Benton officiating.
Keith was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Ellen Rowden, on June 9, 1951, at the Little Brown Church. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather with a delightful sense of humor. Keith enjoyed his vocation as a painting contractor for over 60 years and will be remembered by many. He loved fishing, listening to Johnny Cash and Gaither Homecoming Gospel music, along with a number of good preachers on TV. Being with his family were the times he treasured most. He is dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three sons, Rick of Marion, Larry (Michelle) of Robins and Kenny (Kathy) of Colorado; and one brother, Robert of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; precious daughter, Jo Ellen; loving granddaughter, Shelly; four brothers; and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Keith's name to Brotherhood Prison Ministries for the purchase of Bibles for inmates at Oakdale Prison, Brotherhood Prison Ministries, P.O. Box 333, Kalona, IA 52247.
