Keith M. Gusta, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital following a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home, by Rev. Stasia Fine. Friends may visit with the
family after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughter, Jodi (Joe) Twedt of Atkins; son, Ryan (Dixie) of Atkins; daughter, Cassie Gusta of Cedar Rapids; grand-children, Zach, Ben and Jenna Twedt and Dillon Gusta; brother, Dennis (Lynnette) Gusta of Cedar Rapids; nieces, Amelia Gusta of Cedar Rapids, Krystal (Jeremy) Arrington, Taylor Klima and Daniella Klima, all of Clearwater, Fla., and Kelsey Lempka of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Andrew Klima of Clearwater, Fla.; former wife, Barb Gusta of Cedar Rapids; and uncles, Virgil McClain of Oelwein and Kenneth Gusta of Waterloo.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Keith Merle was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Oelwein, the son of George Marvin and Genevieve Helen Gusta. Keith served his country in Vietnam while in the Army. On Nov. 22, 1997, Keith married Diane Elizabeth Klima in Cedar Rapids.
He retired in 2002 from Square D/Schneider Electric after 33 years as a purchasing agent.
Keith was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed traveling with friends, playing golf anywhere, especially Texas, and enjoyed bowling. Keith loved the Hawkeyes, good old Western movies, and loved watching his grand-children play sports.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
