KEITH J. FRAZIER
Cedar Rapids
Keith J. Frazier, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be Sunday, July 31, at the Chapel of Memories Stateroom from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with one hour visitation before.
Keith was born Feb. 28, 1938, on a farm in South English, Iowa, to Don and Elsie (Greiner) Frazier. He graduated from Kinross High School and enlisted in the Army. After military service Keith graduated from AIB in Des Moines with a degree in sales and marketing. In 1966, he married Deanna (Janko) Cherry. Together they raised four children and celebrated 50 years of love and marriage in June 2016.
Keith loved meeting and getting to know people and serving their needs throughout his insurance career. He brokered for various companies selling health coverage and ended his career at Mercy Hospital Sierra office providing Medicare supplements. Continued calls for help with supplemental insurance coverage testified to his honesty and integrity.
Above all else in his life, Keith loved the Lord and his family. He was an active member of St. Pius X Parish and prayer group and prayed daily for each family member. Keith and Dee were avid dancers and met scores of friends as they followed the Memory Brothers for 30 years.
Keith is survived by his wife; children, Kimra Combs of Phoenix, Ariz., Dawn Frazier (Marty Dolan) of Houston, Texas, Chad Frazier (Diana) of Vinton and Crystal Friederich (Joel) of Colleyville, Texas; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Chittick of Webster, Neva Seaba (Dale) of La Jaunta, Colo., and Rosemary Popham (Terry) of Crescent City, Ill.; brother, Lyle Frazier (Jeannie) of Sigourney; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Larry, Kenny and Leo Frazier.
Keith's family is grateful for the outstanding, compassionate care of Mercy Medical Center and Hospice House of Mercy.
