Keith E. Griffin, 71, lifetime resident of this area, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A time of visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Keith’s memory.
Keith Edward Griffin was born April 15, 1952, in Iowa City, the son of Daniel C. and Mary Jo (Kinney) Griffin. Attending Iowa City Schools, Keith was with the first class to graduate from West High School in 1969. He has spent his working years in the construction and farming fields, never straying far from Iowa City.
His family includes his siblings, Jean Goodnow, Don Griffin, Paul Griffin (Rita), Teresa Williams and Vernon Griffin (Susie); and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Ann Good; and sister-in-law, Nancy VanAllen.
