Keeney, Nancy M.
Nancy M. Keeney, 60, of Center Point, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, with her family around her. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. David Beckman. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, where a wake service will begin at 4 p.m.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Douglas W. Keeney; her sons, Scott Keeney of Marion, Jason Keeney of Marion and Benjamin Keeney of Center Point; three brothers, Mark (Julie) Gustafson of St. Charles, Mo., Gary Gustafson of Robins and Jeff (Barb) Gustafson of Norfolk, Neb.; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Keeney of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Drew Gustafson.
Nancy was born July 21, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Duane and Alice (Rynda) Gustafson. She married Douglas W. Keeney on May 4, 1974, in Cedar Rapids.
Nancy was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, always caring for her family, who was very important to her.
She enjoyed gardening, plants and later was a volunteer at the public library in Center Point.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
