Kaye Ann Fieseler, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully at her home Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017. Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home by Deacon Dennis Mulherin. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Kaye is survived by her daughter, Jill (J.W.) Downs; four grandchildren; brother, Frank (Barb) Kubovec; sister, Barbara Pearson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Jaye Fieseler.
Kaye was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jacob and Maxine Evans Kubovec. She graduated from Jefferson High School, where she was a thespian, and Mercidian School of Nursing. On Oct. 17, 1964, Kaye married William Fieseler at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.
She was a nurse at Mercy Medical Center in the OB-GYN unit for many years and later worked as office manager for Dr. Christopher Sherman.
Kaye was an avid reader, enjoyed trivia, long chats with friends and family and, most of all, spending time with her grandkids.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
