Kay F. Flaucher, 81, of Independence, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.
Mr. Flaucher is survived by seven sons, Greg (Kathy) Flaucher of Granite Falls, Wash., Mike (Kathy) Flaucher of Independence, Terry (Lisa) Flaucher of Olathe, Kan., Steve (Angie) Flaucher, Martin (Beth) Flaucher and Daniel (Lynette) Flaucher, all of Independence, and Randy (Kelly) Flaucher of Jesup; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gordon (Joann) Flaucher of Langhorn, Pa.
His parents; wife, Joan; three brothers, Harold, Gene and Marvin Flaucher; and three sisters, Rita Gaffney, Betty Connolly and Gloria Flaucher, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, with a rosary at 3 p.m., military memorial service at 6 p.m. and vigil service at 7:30 p.m., all at White Funeral Home, Independence.
Memorials will be directed to Bechter-Boise VFW Post #2440, Sheehan-Tidball American Legion Post #30, St. John's School and the Independence Garden Club.
