Kaufman, Richard L. 'Dick'
Richard L. “Dick” Kaufman, 73, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a lingering illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be after noon on Saturday.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Bill (Sam) Carter of Elberon and Mike (Lisa) Kadera of Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Laurie Kadera and Tammy (Jeff) Behounek, both of Belle Plaine, Tami (Kevin) Votrobeck of Clutier, Penny Dunning of Chelsea and Sonja Kaufman of Tiffin; brothers, Harry Kaufman of Derby, Kan., Robert Kaufman of Cedar Rapids, Guy (Cheri) Belton of Tama and Larry (Regina) Belton of Arthur, Ill.; sisters, Sharon (Larry) Beck of Chelsea and JoAnn (Wilbur) Ringler of Grinnell; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
