Kauffman, Don R.
Don R. Kauffman, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his son, Jay (Emily) Kauffman, and grandchildren, Jenna and Cora; brother, David (Pam) Kauffman; and sister, Marilyn (Bob) Thom.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Madonna Kauffman; and an infant brother, Duane.
Don was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Lowell and Madonna (Enabnit) Kauffman. Don was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He worked 29 years as a millwright working out of the Local Union 2158 in Moline, Ill., until his retirement.
Don enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with friends, good food, blues music and his granddaughters.
