Kathryn Viola Offerman died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Lyle; children, Ray (Linda) Offerman of Cedar Rapids and Wilma Baird of Hiawatha; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Russell Grimm, Rena Schuler and Carol (Jim) Convey, all of Cedar Rapids, and Nadine Dedric of Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathryn was born April 8, 1932, in Urbana, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Caroline Rassmassan Grimm. On Sept. 5, 1959, Kathryn and Lyle Offerman were united in marriage in Iowa City.
Kathryn enjoyed collecting dolls, country music and traveling to Branson, Mo. She loved her dog, Quenny.
Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
