Kathryn L. (Parsons) Sida, 86, of rural Solon, died peacefully following a brief illness on Saturday morning, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Solon Nursing Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and a parish vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. A complete obituary will appear Tuesday.
