Kathryn M. Davis, 93, of 423 W. Zeller St. in North Liberty, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Lantern Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Coralville. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Kathryn chose to be cremated following the service. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Visiting Nurses Association.Kathryn was born Feb. 1, 1916, in Columbus Junction. Growing up there, she graduated from Columbus Junction High School in 1933. She was a homemaker and worked for many years as a cook at Ina Mae's Restaurant in Muscatine. Survivors include her children, Fred (Kathy) Davis of Rapid City, S.D., Ed (Carol) Davis of Muscatine, Ruth Davis of North Liberty and Evelyn Holladay of Iowa City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
