Kathryn M. Leonard, 93, formerly of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at Solon Nursing & Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery near Tiffin.
Memorials may be made to Grace UMC in Tiffin or Table to Table.

Kathryn M. Seering was born March 2, 1924, in rural Johnson County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry F. and Eleanor (Kinzel) Seering. She was united in marriage to Robert Leonard on Oct. 19, 1943, in Iowa City, and in 1953 they moved to their farm near Tiffin, where they raised their family. Kathryn enjoyed farm life, gardening, canning and the chores. She also spent time at the Senior Center volunteering and always had time for a jigsaw puzzle.
Her family includes her children, Glen Leonard, Duane Leonard (Jo), Wanda Tompkins, Betty Alfrey, Gary Leonard, Dale Leonard, Margie Gruver (Ron) and Brenda Johnson (Rex); as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Ryan Johnson; son-in-law, Tom Tompkins; and her nine siblings.
