On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, Kathryn Mae Kirlin, 79, of Marion, passed on to join her husband, Leroy,
who preceded her in death in 2002. Also welcoming her home are her parents, Wilma and Loyal Stout; her sister, Barbara; and her brother, Jim.
She is survived by her sister, Donna; and brother, Bobby Dean; as well as sisters-in-law, Mary Sue and Velma Jean. Also surviving are her four children, Ronda, Bonnie, Kenny and Randy; as well as seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime resident of Marion, where she worked for many years at Sears in Lindale Mall and had many treasured friends and neighbors.
Kathy enjoyed so much in life and fully accepted and lived the life that was given her without complaint or expectation, even throughout her last years while suffering the effects of multiple sclerosis.
Her absence has already left a hole in our lives. She is, and always will be, loved and missed.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at South Oak Grove Cemetery in Stuart, Iowa, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
