Kathleen Richardson, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty.
A memorial fund has been established.

Kathleen was born May 24, 1931, in West Liberty, the daughter of Bert and Lela Jarrett. Following the death of her father, Bert, Lela was married to Phil Jarrett, with whom Kathleen was raised. Kathleen was united in marriage to Ted Richardson on June 21, 1953, at Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. Ted and Kathleen owned and operated Richardson's Plumbing for over 40 years in West Liberty. She also had been employed at the Cookies Restaurant and Country Cone factory in West Liberty. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and her family.
Kathleen is survived by two sons, Daryl Richardson of Atalissa and Larry Richardson of Muscatine; three granddaughters, Heather, Peggy and Nicole; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lauren (Nona) Jarrett and Virgil (Nova) Jarrett, both of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Phil; son, Roger; and granddaughter, Holly.
