Kathleen Marie Wolfe, 93, a resident of Keystone Care Center, died there on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Wolfe; grandchildren, Caitlin (Clifford) Reel and Cassandra (David) Lusk; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ireland and Orion Lusk, Lillian Duffy-Wolfe and Milo Reel; half-sister, Margol Wilhelmson; and nephews, John, Joel and James Blomgren.
Kathleen was born on Oct. 20, 1924, in Buxton, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Garrett) Blomgren. She was a graduate of Albia High School, where she also was the homecoming queen. Kathleen proudly served in the U.S. Navy. She married Leroy David Wolfe in November of 1954. She worked for most of her life as a hairdresser and in her spare time she enjoyed dancing, animals, doing crosswords and reading books. Her family will remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, David and Damon; grandson, Thomas, and brother, Donald (Betty) Blomgren; and a nephew, Jerry Blomgren.
