Surviving are her husband, Richard; four daughters, Deb (Randy) Manternach, Cascade, Dawn (Joe) Aitchison, Guttenberg, Dana (Dave) Pucin, Rotonda, Fla., and Charlie (Craig) Arduser, Monticello; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Victoria) Sershon, Apple River, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and John Sershon; a brother, Bill; and two sons, Donald and David Behrens.
Kathleen Bobette Sershon was born Dec. 7, 1940, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Kathleen (Bain) Sershon.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
Kathy went to high school in Antioch, Ill. She married Richard Behrens on April 12, 1958, at Milburn Congregational Church, Milburn, Ill. The couple moved to Cascade in 1974 and in 2000, to Englewood, Fla., and later to Placida, Fla.
Kathy was many things to many people, but the most important thing to her was her marriage to Richard for the past 59 years. She was the glue that held her family together. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas when the whole family would gather together for the annual Behrens Christmas party, where we would fill the hall of the hotel with much laughter and many great family memories of the past and present.
Kathy was loved by all and will be missed by many forever and always.
