Kathleen Ann Banks, 72, of Marion, formerly of Springville, went to be with her Lord and Maker on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015. Celebration of Life: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; her daughters, Pauline (Duane) Schlatter of Springville, Vickie (Craig) Clinton of Marion, Wendy (Alan) Bries of Central City and Jackie (John) Bohlken of Springville; her eight grandchildren, Felicia Schlatter, Cameron (Beth) Clinton, Cyle (Bianca) Clinton, Clarrissa Clinton, Jennifer (Blake) Carpenter, Joseph (Desire) Bries and Matthew and Michael Bohlken; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher, Carsyn and Maddie Clinton, Hailey Jo, Paisley Jo, Isabella Jo Carpenter and Holden Bries; and her sisters, Ramona (Phil) Heiniger and Carolyn (Dan) Warren, both of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathleen was born Jan. 24, 1943, in Burlington, Iowa, to Howard and Imogene (Parott) Sink. She married her husband, Charles L. Banks, on June 6, 1961.
Kathleen was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion. She was co-owner of Banks Heating and Air with her husband, Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
