Katherine Ann "Kathie" Ballard, 71, of Marengo, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be contributed to Essence of Life Hospice, Amana, in her name.
She is survived by her husband, Billy D. Ballard; a daughter, Barb Ballard of Vinton; a son, Billy K. Ballard and wife Kelsie of Marengo; three grandchildren, Blake Heller, Lisa Heller and Sidney Ballard; and three great-grandchildren, Maddex Heller, Aralynn Rigle and Easton Anderson.
Her sister, Mary Ann Boardman and husband Jim of Cedar Rapids, also survive.
Kathie's parents, Mardis and Katherine Winborn Houseman preceded her in death.
