Karyl J. Reinsager, 69, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A celebration of Karyl's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, at the West Liberty Community Center, with a luncheon to follow.
A memorial fund has been established.

Karyl was born April 9, 1946, the daughter of Lemoine and Geraldine Carpenter Heither. She graduated from West Liberty High School and attended Muscatine Community College. She was united in marriage to Thomas Reinsager on Dec. 3, 1966, in West Liberty.
Karyl was employed for over 40 years with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she worked in hospital billing. When not working at the hospital, she assisted her husband, Tom, in running the Downtowner restaurant in West Liberty, which they owned and operated for many years.
Karyl adored her grandchildren as well as her dog, Max. She enjoyed helping others by giving rides to those people that might need it, as well as doing other deeds.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Don) Boehme of West Liberty; two sons, Terry Reinsager and Ted Reinsager, both of North Liberty; three grandchildren, Jake, Nick and Zoey Boehme; and her beloved dog, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Reinsager; brother, Tom Heither; and sister, Arleda Wolf.
