Karla Kohl, 61, of Athens, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Ms. Kohl was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on March 20, 1955, to Gordon and Alta Glime Kohl.
Ms. Kohl was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sisters, Danielle Cagle and husband Jeff and Sue Edwards and husband Scott; brothers, Gordon Kohl and wife Susan, Randell Kohl and Scott Hill and wife Christine; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service for Ms. Kohl at Old Bethel Cemetery in Lawrence County on Friday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens.
