Karen Sue Sauerbry, 63, of Greeley, lost her battle with cancer Friday, June 27, 2014, in Edgewood. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation
Service, Manchester. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Greeley Commercial Club. Interment will be at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Shane (Charlotte) Graham and Shawn (Tammy) Graham; a sister, Irene (Robert) Osborn; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; parents; and a brother, Tommy Hindman.
Karen was born Jan. 29, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Mildred (Junge) Hindman. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Cedar Rapids. She married Rick Graham in 1972 and they had two sons. In 1999, Karen married Bobby Jo Sauerbry. She was employed in radio assembly at LeFebure in Anamosa and later worked at G & G Living Center in Edgewood. She was proud of the work she did in arranging the G & G parade float each year for Edgewood Rodeo Days.
Karen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved having fun at picnics and other family events. She liked the beaches and warm air of Florida's Cape Coral and Fort Myers. Karen enjoyed involvement in Rendezvous Days and Pioneer Days celebrations.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a fund being established in her memory.
