Karen Elizabeth Burrows, 60, of Central City, passed away on June 9, 2022, at her home. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Karen was born on June 26, 1961, in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Kenneth and Florence (Wolschlag) McAlister. On Oct. 2, 1982, Karen was united in marriage to Jimmy Burrows in Elmwood, Ill. She enjoyed golfing at Meadowview, fishing, camping, Iowa women’s basketball and being with her grandchildren. Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karen is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Laura (Beau) Sadberry and Josh (Sarah) Burrows; grandchildren, Wren, Eddie, Norah and Charlotte; mother, Florence McAlister; and siblings, David (Elaine) McAlister, Connie (Van) Taylor, Kathy (Scott) Polhemus and Brian McAlister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; and father, Kenneth.
