Kara L. (Vosberg) LuGrain, 31, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Cuba City, Wis., died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, Wis. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Kara was born Sept. 7, 1985, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Dixie (Meana) Vosberg. Kara was presently working as a CNA at Discovery Living in Cedar Rapids. She also had just passed courses to become an EMT and was going to become a paramedic.
Kara had a big heart; always wanting to help others and often put their care before her own. She greatly enjoyed kayaking, snowboarding and horseback riding. She also enjoyed spending time with her Grandma Meana and her dog and companion, Jackson.
Kara is survived by her parents, Dixie (Mike) Vosberg of Cuba City, Wis.; partner, Andrea Edwards of Cedar Rapids; grandma, Beverly Meana of Platteville, Wis.; and brother, Jacob LuGrain of Harrisburg, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Robert Meana; and uncles, Stanly and Dean Meana.
